Hi,
I am currently working on the blog page for my website, or actually... I’m writing this first blog post instead lol.

I haven’t even written the ‘about me’ yet, but I feel like talking so I’ll continue to write whatever this is...

As you may or may not have noticed, I really like abandoned places. I enjoy exploring them, taking pictures and wondering what happened to these places. If I’m lucky, I’m able to find information or documents online, but that’s not always the case.

I think I have been to all of the abandoned places in my town, it’s not a lot, actually, there are less and less abandoned places like that. In recent years they (who are they? IDK, the municipality? contractors? land owners?), have started to tear all these places down and build new buildings instead. There was an abandoned boarding school next to my parents house, It was built about a 100 years ago, the specific part that was left abandoned was the living quarters of the instructors/teachers, it was built in the 70’s according to some preserversion documents I managed to find. The school was closed in 86, it was still used for other purposes in the 90’s, and then abandoned completely. In the last few years they started renovating the buildings, I think there’s going to be a kindergarten there.

I guess it’s good to renovate/demolish abandoned buildings, they are dangerous after all. But... I really liked that place :( there were different buildings, different rooms, even some balconies and rooftops that were accessible. The entrances to the buildings were closed off, to prevent people from entering, but every time I visited, there was a new breach I could enter through. Each time, I got to explore a different building. There wasn’t much to see besides empty dirty and full of graffiti rooms, but it was still so exciting. I miss that place.
